5/93 - Present

  • Partner with the Toms River Law Firm of Secare, Delanoy, Martino & Ryan.
  • Litigation Attorney for the Market Transitional Fund and the Joint Underwriters Association. High volume automobile defense practice, including pre-trial discovery, depositions, settlement conferences and trials.
  • Litigation Attorney for the Ocean County Joint Insurance Fund. Experienced in all aspects of Municipal defense, including automobile liability, premises liability, Tort Claim Immunities and Federal Constitutional claims.
  • Current litigation attorney for the Township of Lakewood, the Township of Manchester, Borough of Seaside Park and the Borough of Pine Beach.
  • Civil litigation: Representation of Plaintiffs and Defendants in personal injury, contract, construction and insurance litigation.
  • Workers Compensation: Representation of Petitioners and Respondents in various aspects of claims, including trials, motions for medical and temporary benefits, Second Injury Fund, Uninsured Fund and Settlements. Currently serve as Respondents Attorney for the Township of Lakewood, the Township of Manchester and the Borough of Beach Haven. Former Respondents Attorney for the Jackson Township M.U.A. and the Township of Barnegat.

ACTIVITIES AND ORGANIZATIONS

    • 1997-Present: Board of Trustees Member - Ocean County Bar Association. Currently hold the position of President Elect.
    • Trustee Liaison to the Judicial and County Prosecutors Appointments Committee and Municipal Court Committee.
    • Trustee Liaison to the Workers Compensation and the Municipal Court Committees.
    • Completed the New Jersey Supreme Court Approved Civil Mediation Program.
    • 1998-Present: Member, Civil Practice Committee. Serve as committee member in establishing and implementing practice procedures in the County of Ocean. Serve as an Arbitrator in the Civil Arbitration Program.
    • 1991-Present: Member, Ocean County Bar Association Scholarship Committee. Actively participated in the review and selection of recipients of the Ocean County Scholarship Fund.
    • 1990-2000: Member, Special Civil Part Mediation Program. Assisted in the Mediation Program established through the Special Civil Part committee in rendering assistance to the Court in mediating Special Civil Part disputes.
    • 1994-Present: Member, Mock Trial Committee. Former Attorney-Coach for Central Regional High School.
    • 1997-1999: Committee Chair, Mock Trial Committee. Served as the County Coordinator for the Mock Trial Committee, including organizing the annual competition for the years 1996 - 1999.
    • 1998-1999: Co-Chair, Computer Committee. Assisted in creating the Ocean County Bar Association Computer Committee. Organized and established a course in conjunction with Ocean County College to teach laptop computer skills implementing various legal programs to Ocean County attorneys.  This course was established as a pilot program which was offered at Ocean County College, Gloucester County College and Passaic County College. Current member of the Technology Committee.
    • 1997: Recipient of the Outstanding Young Lawyer Award by the Ocean County Bar Association.
    • 1995: Served as Young Lawyer Liaison to the Ocean County Bar Association Board of Trustees.
    • Recipient - Numerous Certificates of Commendation, Ocean Monmouth Legal Services, Inc. and the Superior Court of New Jersey for providing pro bono assistance to the Court and indigent clients.
    • 1988: Recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award, University of Baltimore School of Law, Torts II.
